What is the course of the musculotaneous nerve and the muscle supplied
- coracobrachialis
- betw. biceps brachii and brachialis
- emerges on lat side to become lateral cutaneous n of forearm
Muscle supplied of the median nerve
Forearm: P.T, F.C.R, P.L. F.D.S, lateral F.D.P, F pollicus longus, medial FDP
hand; lumbricals 1/2, 3 thenar muscles
course of the median nerve
travel in anterior arm
- to lat brachial artery
- cross anterior and medial to brachial artery
- pass betw heads of pronator then deep to FDP
- passes FDS AND FCR and into carpal tunnels at wrist
muscles supplied of the ulnar nerve
forearm: CU, medial FDP
hand; hyppthenar musc, interosseous musc, lumbricals 3/4, adductor pollicus
course of ulnar nerve
- travel in ant arm; medial to brachial artery
- pass posteriorly over medial head of triceps then superfically betw medial epicondyle and olecranon
- cross elbow betwe heads of FCP to lie superfically at FDP
- pass superficial to FR around hook of hamate into hand
muscle supply of radial nerve
arm; post compartment of triceps
forearm; long extensor of wrist, thumb, fingers, brachioraidalis, supinator, anconeus, abductor pollicis longus
course of radial nerve
cross at lat tendon and leaves axilla
- pass in radial groove at the shaft of humerus and bewt and lat and medial head of triceps
- pass betw brachialis and brachioradialis and divided in post interosseous and superficial radial branch
- superficial branch runs deep to brachioradialis
- deep branch through supinator posteriorly and interosseous membrane
muscle supply of axillary nerve
deltoid and teres minor
course of axillary nerve
interior to shoulder joint, posterior to surgical neck of humerus
