Preterm labour PROM
if ? or confirmed PROM>24hours

Benzylpenicillin 25mg/kg and gentimicin 5mg/kg

when reassess abx?

A

Measure C-reactive protein levels before commencing abx and again at 24hours
This maybe reduce to 8hours on clinical judgement - paed

Postparturm care ….

A

Physical examination
Commence abx if clinical indication - <1hour decision
Monitor @ 1, 2 and 2hourly

Intrapartrum care

A

monitor in labour for any emerging risk factors - pyrexia or choriamnionitis
give prophylaxis abx if indicated benzylpenicillin IV
