A
acidosis hypothermia sepsis cyanosis apnoea seizures lethargy high pitched cry jittery abnoraml feeding behaviour hypotonia

Management of care ??
A
thermo regulation skin to skin feeding <1hour Diabetic <30mins feed 2-3hourly until bms >2mmol/l express?

Indication to commence BMS?
A
diabetic mother low birth weight clinical sign preterm hypothermic babes

Management of bms?
A
2mmol/l x2 pre-feed (2nd feed)
1.0-1.9mmol/ 40% dextrose 200mg/kg alongside feeds inform paed
blood glucose <1.mmol/l urgent paed r/v - IV access
