Porcellanite
Neolithic people used porcellanite , a tougher and heavier stone than Flint.

Lough Gur
Lough Gur in Co. Limerick is where the first Irish farmers lived.
Wattle and daub
It was a method of building the wattle are the sticks that were pushed into the ground and other smaller sticks were woven through them. The daub is when straw and mud plastered between the gaps.
Céide fields
Neolithic people lived in the Céide fields Co. Mayo. Farming here ended at 3000BC.
Quern stone
A quern stone was used to grind grain into flour for bread.
Megaliths
It’s a large type of stone.
Court cairn
The tomb was made of upright stoned covered with smaller stones.
Dolmen
Two or three stones were put standing upright and a very large stone or capstone was placed on top.
Passage tombs
(It’s the largest type of Mesolithic tomb.) inside there is a long passage leading to a chamber/chambers where remains of cremated bodies have been found.
Cobbled roof
It’s an extension of the wall. Each layer of the wall is placed slightly inside the one below, creating a cone effect.
Capstone
A large stone placed on top of dolmen tombs.
