Q

Taxo Sugar Utilization test procedure

A
  1. Prepare heavy inoculum of test isolate using 5ml sterile water.
  2. Lawn over entire chocolate agar.
  3. Place 4 taxo discs on surface of inoculum - spread apart evenly.
  4. Incubate at 37C for 24-48hrs.
    Control = N.lactamica
  5. Following incubation, place agar in fume hood and add drop of phenol red indicator to each disc.
    Pos = red -> yellow colour change.
