What is a pipe reamer used for?
To smooth the edge of cuts so they do not damage the insulation of the wire
What types of pipe are thick enough to be threaded?
RMC and IMC
What section of the NEC deals with bending IMC?

What is a stub-up?
Another name for the rise in a section of conduit. Also, a term used for conduit penetrating a slab or the ground.
What is an offset
Two bends placed in a a piece of conduit to avoid obstructions or for proper entry into boxes, cabinets, etc. Also called a kick.
How do you bend PVC?
Using a heating unit
What is a one-shot bend?
a single 90-degree bend
In pipe-bending, what is a rise?
The length of the bent section of conduit measured from the bottom, centerline, or top of the straight section to the end of the bent section.
In pipe-bending, what is the take-up?
The amount of conduit used to form a bend
In pipe-bending, what is gain?
The distance saved by the arc of a 90-degree bend due to conduit being bent in a radius and not at right angles.
In pipe-bending, what is developed length?
The actual length of the conduit that will be bent.
In pipe-bending, what is a saddle-bend?
Three or four bends used to clear an obstacle
