Gives distance of a object based on its height

Gives bearing of a object
What’s a magnetic compass?
Based on magnetic north
What’s a psychrometer?
Gets relative humidity/dew point based on wet and dry bulb thermometer
What does barometer do?
Atmospheric pressure
What is set and drift?
Angle and speed ship is pushed off course
What is advance?
Distance gained forward from time you mark your turn til you’re on new course
What is transfer?
Distance gained left or right of track from time you mark your turn until you’re steady on new course
What’s true bearing?
Based on true north
What is relative bearing?
Based on relation to ship

Normal underway lights. Has 2 filaments RED and AMBER. When 1 goes out it turns Amber but when both go out it turns Red and has a alarm
