A

DC ACE inhibitors 3-7 days
Patient must be well hydrated
Peds must be cathed and may require saline drip)
Patient must drink at least 2 glasses of water prior to exam
NPO 4 hours
Check creatinine and BUN levels

Lasix procedure

A

1st Protocol
Perform regular renal study
Void and check for renal pelvis activity
If persistent activity in renal pelvis do a Lasix study
Administer Lasix and image 60 sec/frame for 20-30 minutes longer
2nd Protocol
Renal study with Lasix
Lasix given 10-15 minutes after injection of MAG3
Continue to image for 20 min post Lasix
Peak Lasix effect time is 15 minutes post administration
