Indications
A
- Eval of: nausea, vomiting, weight loss, bloating, chronic aspiration
- Assess mechanical, anatomical obstruction of stomach
- Suspected gastroparesis
- GERD
- Dumping syndrome

Contraindications
A
- Allergic to eggs
- Hypoglycemic patients – can have OJ 2 hours prior

Patient Prep
A
- NPO 4-12 hours
- No smoking while NPO
- Must eat entire meal w/i 10 min
- Vomiting at any time invalidates
- Upright between scans - Stats
- DC sedatives

- Geometric mean with both - Statics only
- GM for attenuation correction
