NAT MNPS Flight Ops Procedures Flashcards
What strategic lateral offset procedures (SLOP) are available
1 or 2 nm right
Never left!
Altimeter accuracy required in RVSM airspace
2 altimeters within +/- 200tt
If you deviate by how much in altitude, you much tell atc
300ft
What needs to be checked before entering MNPS airspace
HF comms and SELCAL
What are the HF comms
Single sideband Hf frequencies
6 radio ground stations
Lower Hf bands at night (less than 7mhz)
Higher Hf bands during day (more than 8mhz)
SELCAL
2 pairs of letters from A -S
Not including I N O
If HF fails in MNPS airspace what do you do
Continue with previous clearance
How long do u maintain last assigned code in MNPS airspace
30 mins
Then select 2000 on transponder
When is ACAS required
MTOM > 5,700kg
19pax seats
What version of TCAS is mandatory
7.1
If clearance can not be obtained in flight
Initially offset 15nm by turning 45/90°
Change level by:
500ft FL410
If alt can’t be maintained
Minimise ROD when leaving original track
Then expedite descent to feasible alt
If deviations around weather are greater than 10 nm what must you also do
Change level by 300ft
