Anterior
In the human body, anterior has to do with the front of a structure, or a structure found toward the front of the body.
Posterior
In the human anatomy, has to do with thumbtack of structure, or a structure found toward the back of the body.
Isokinetic
Muscular action with a constant state of motion.
Eccentric
Action in which the proximal and distal attachments move away from one another
Concentric
Action in which the proximal and distal attachments move towards one another.
Isometric
Occurs when the muscle tension is created without a change in muscle length or visible movement of the joint.
Open chain exercises
Open chain exercises are where either the hands or feet are free to move
Closed chain exercises
Closed chain exercises are where both the hands and the feet are in a fixed space and cannot move.
Hypertension
A blood pressure that is above 140/90, and it is considered to be severe if it is above 180/20.

Body Mass Index
Underweight
18.5 or less
Healthy weight
18.5-25
Overweight
25-30
Obese
Anything higher than 30
