Why is the non linear narrative with of analysis ?

A
  • echoes the assumption that one might have based on the title that the book is a scientific case study
  • reflect the subject of the novella itself as there is more than one ‘voice’ or ‘personality’ within the novella
  • the theme of duality is reflected in the very structure of the novella
