How do you format the SD card?
Turn on while holding delete (trash can)
Then scroll down the display to SD CARD > REC BUTTON > FORMAT > REC BUTTON > EXECUTE

How do you switch formats, and what is the best format?
Press the audio button and click through the options
Best is WAV/48k-24bit

MP3 saves space but quality is poor
What does lo cut button do?
Cuts off lo base, like wind noise
Julian krause recommends that it be set at 80 hz. Human voice Doesn’t go below that.
It’s really windy you considered higher up to 160 but be aware of the human voice will sound Timmy is that range
What does the limiter do?
Manages sudden spikes in volume
you should keep it on in run and gun situations, Julian Krauss says
But turn it off if you’re in a situation where sound is controlled.
Julian says the one downside to the limiter is that it can raise the noise level in some circumstances
What is the difference between the low-cut button and the limiter button?
Limiter does it do home loud stuff well Loca does low frequencies is not it
What does AUTO LEVEL do?
Disables the gain nob

What is the best location for an H1n?
About 1 foot away, Julian says.
Where do you want the gain indicator hitting if you have auto level turned off?
Julian Krauss says between -18 and -12
How do you delete an audio file - the one you are in?
Trash can button. Then look on tne screen

How does the mark button work?
When you are listening back and hear something important, click the mark button. A mark will show up in your computer???
How do you get out of the playback mode?
Hit the stop button
