My camera Flashcards
What is a mirrorless camera?
A mirrorless camera is a type of camera that works without a reflex mirror. Light passes through the lens directly to the digital sensor, which then displays your image on the camera’s LCD screen, allowing you to adjust settings and preview your image before its shot.
Mirrorless cameras have more technology(a lot more electronics) into them than DSLRs.
What are the advantages of having a mirrorless camera? What are the cons?
They’re lighter, more compact, faster and better for taking videos.
The con is they have access to fewer lenses and accessories.

JPEG
JPEG starts off with the raw image but then it goes through some compression, adjusting of the color, some sharpness settings, overall, it goes through some fine-tuning of the image to look right. The camera tries to give you a nice refined finished product.
Raw
Raw information coming off the sensor and pictures that are raw are sometimes not so refined.
