Purpose
A
- muscle tissue=produce movement in body
- bones of skeleton=provide a framework for muscles to attach to
- protects body and organs

Locomotion
A
- Moving entire bodies from one place to another through self propulsion
- not the same as movement

Rickets
A
- Caused by a lack of Vitamin D, calcium or phosphate, soft weak bones.
- symptom in children=bowing

Arthritis
A
Joints become i flamed, painful and swollen, cartilage between joints break down, bones rub against each other

Osteoporosis
A
- bone tissue become brittle, thin and spongy, bones break easily and start to crumble and collapse
- common in older people, can also be found in teens and young adults
