What is the musculoskeletal system?
A
The complex network of bones, muscles, joints and connective tissue that gives shape, support and movement to the human body

What are ligaments?
A
A tough band of connective tissue that connects bones to other bones

What is cartilage?
A
Slightly elastic and crosses over joints, joining bone to bone, they provide stability in the joint

What are tendons?
A
Flexible, inelastic and very strong, at the end of a muscle where the fascia covers. Allows muscle to exert large amounts of force

What are some of the roles the three tissues (tendons, ligaments and cartilage) perform together?
A
