What should be asked in the History?
A
MOI, past history of injury, sounds.

What should you look for during visual observations?
A
Inspect Bilaterally. look for deformity, swelling, skin discoloration.

Palpation Techniques
A
start palpating away from the site of injury. palpate the whole length of the limb. look for depressions, spasms, knots, etc. when palpating. Used to determine the extent of point tenderness, affected structures, and other deformities that are not visually apparent.

What is the primary goal of immediate treatment?
A
limit swelling and hemorrhaging
