TU: Myasthenia gravis
SE: increase salvation bradycardia muscle weakness respiratory paralysis
ADMIN: take 45 minutes to an hour before meals same time daily
INTERVEN: monitor excessive diarrhea & salivation monitor vital signs don’t administer if apical pulse is below 60 bpm have atropine ready to treat muscle weakness and respiratory paralysis that occurs within one hour of neostigmine Administration, cholinergic crisis

A

TU: Prevention & Treatment for postmenopausal osteoporosis
ADMIN: 30 minutes before breakfast with full glass of water sit or stand 30 minutes after administration
SE: I pain vision change muscle and joint pain esophagitis gastrointestinal disturbance
CONTRAIN.: esophageal stricture’s difficulty swallowing patient unable to sit up for 30 minutes after admin.

SE: bone marrow suppressant and liver damage
INTERV.: Monitor for gastrointestinal bleeding
PT. INSTRUC.: avoid ingesting alcohol drink 8 to 12 glasses of water daily
INTERACT: alcohol use may increase risk of Hepatotoxicity
ADMIN.: oral subcutaneous or intermuscular

SE: muscle pain, Hyperkalemia cardiac arrest respiratory arrest malignant hyperthermia and muscle paralysis
INTERV.: if temp rises discontinue cool patient down administer dantrolene
PT. INSTRUC.: muscle pain is expected will resolve quickly
PRECAUTIONS: electrolyte imbalance myasthenia gravis respiratory depression
CONTRAIN: risk for hyper kalemia in major burn or trauma

ADMIN: intranasal spray hold nasal pumped up right (prime pump 1st spray) spray ones in nostril alternate nostril’s every use
PT. INSTRUC: alternate nostril’s report nasal irritation or bleeding eat a high calcium and vitamin D diet

A

TU: hypocalcemia patients with calcium deficiency risk osteoporosis lactose intolerant, women breast-feeding, adolescents
SE: Hypercalcemia, kidney stones vomiting nausea and constipation
ADMIN: drink a glass of H2O after swallowing
INTERV: Monitor serum calcium and blood in urine
PT. INSTRUC: high-fiber diet take laxatives for constipation drink glass of water after swallowing

A

TU: Joint damage and inflammation
SE: severe skin reaction (Steven Johnson syndrome) reactivation of Latent tuberculosis (TB)
ADMIN: subcutaneous injection
INTERV: assess for infection prior to each injection monitor patient signs and symptoms of heart failure (cough, short of breath) administer TB test prior to starting therapy
Pt. INSTRUC: Report signs and symptoms of infection and skin rashes stat
INTERV: administration with chemotherapeutic drugs May cause bone marrow suppressant don’t give with anakinra due to risk of infection
