Muscles II Flashcards
Muscles that move the forearm: brachialis attachment
Proximal: origin
-anterior distal humerus
Distal:
-anterior proximal ulna (ulnar tubercle)
Brachialis function:
Elbow flexion
Muscles that move the forearm: biceps brachii attachments
Proximal: origin
-scapula (superior to glenoid fossa)
-scapula (Coracoid process)
Distal: anterior proximal radius (radial tubercle)
Biceps brachii function:
-elbow flexion & shoulder flexion
-supination
Muscles that move the forearm: brachioradialis attachments:
Proximal:
-anterior distal shaft of humerus
Distal:
-lateral distal radius
Brachioradialis function
-elbow flexion
Muscles that move the forearm: triceps brachii attachments:
Proximal:
-long head: inferior to glenoid fossa
-short head: humerus (posterior shaft)
Distal:
-posterior proximal ulna
Triceps brachii function:
-elbow extension & should extension
Muscles that move the hand & wrist: hand & wrist flexors attachments
