Hip Flexors - Iliopsoas
Front, attaches to lower spine at 5 locations.
Spinal Erectors
Several groups running vertically along spine
Latissimus Dorsi
Back wings, mid - lower back
Rhomboids
Between shoulder blades, squeezes shoulder blades together, upper back
Trapezius
Large diamond-shaped muscle on back center, upper-mid back
SCM (sternocleidomastoids)
Side neck muscles
Levator Scapule
Back side of neck
Pectoralis major/minor
Chest muscles
Deltoid
3 muscles: anterior, posterior, medial. Upper Shoulders
Rotator Cuff
4 small muscles that stabilize during rotation of shoulder joint. Deep inside shoulders
Tricep
Back of upper arm
Bicep
Front of upper arm
Quadriceps
4 parts, upper front leg
Gluteus Maximus, Medius, Minimus
Medius/Minimus: Side butt muscles. Gluteus Maximus: rear-end muscle
Hamstrings
3 parts. Upper back leg
Abductor group
Outside thigh (TFL: tensor fasciae latae) works with the Glutes
Adductor Group
Inside thigh
Hip external rotators
5 parts. Piriformis: lower back to hip flexor
Hip internal rotators
Gluteus medius and minimus
Calf
Lower back leg. Two muscles: 1. Gastrocnemius, 2. Soleus
Shin bone muscle
Tibialis anterior - front lower leg
