Monozygotic 1 egg 1 sperm one chorion 2 amnion (can have one but rare) one placenta twin to twin transfusion genetically identical stage of division decided number of placentas and membranes
Dizygotic 2 eggs and 2 sperm genetically unidentical can have different fathers 2 chorion 2 amnion 2 placentas which can become fused
