What can an uniformed employee be Removed for cause from
bilingual pay, investigator pay, motorcycle pay, pilot pay. NOTHING ELSE APPLIES TO THIS.
Shift Differential
4 or more hours between 1800-0100. Graves = 4 or more hours between 2300-0600.
OIC pay
supervise for 6 or more hours of shift. (note: per G.O. must supervise 2 or more employees to earn OIC pay.)
FTO pay
Must work full shift to earn this pay.
Business calls
1 call per single work day. Less than 30 minutes = business call. 30 or more minutes = O/T.
Call Back:
4 hours credited if: call-out notification was not prior to completion of last work shift.
4 hours credited if: notification is prior to completion of work shift and call-out begins more than 3 hours after shift ends.
4 hours credited if: court call back limited to 4 hours unless multiple cases. Then, entire time is accrued unless, second case is more than 6 hours after first case ends. Then, 2 four hour call-backs allowed.
If there are three or less hours between end of shift and start of court, O/T shall be paid. Call back does not apply. Employee can be required to work during these hours.
CTO
The only time the Dept. can mandate an employee to earn CTO is for travel which is not connected to enforcement duty.
Reimbursable services
shall receive 4 hours OT when employee responds to work site. A minimum of 24 hours cancellation is required. If less, $50.00 shall be charged. Employees unavailable to receive cancellation notice, are required to contact office within 24 hours of scheduled OT.
Bereavement Leave how much time can an employee take?
New policy: as many bereavement leaves as necessary for parent, child, spouse, brother, sister, domestic partners and persons residing in the same house. Also if over 400 miles, may take up to 2 additional days for travel (personal leave credits used). Also: 1 time per year bereavement authorized for the following groups: grandparents, grandchildren, in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and relatives of domestic partners.
Mentoring Leave how much time can an employee take?
employees may take up to 40 hours per year for approved mentoring programs. (this is paid.)
Safety Equipment if lost or stolen
If lost or damaged due to neglect, the Department may allow the employee to reimburse the State. If this occurs, NO Adverse Action can be initiated.
