Small Flat lesion that is discolored
Macule - usually are from color changes in the epidermis
Multiple 3 to 10 mm pink tan colored round, flat, lesions with sharp irregular borders and varying sizes on his upper chest, back and flexures of the arms. **Primary lesion is a macule

What does a macula tell you ?
Process is confined to the epidermis, Maculas are not raised and do not contain fluid.

Several 3-10cm large raised plaques that are round and sharply circumscribed, salmon colored in appearance and scaley white substance on the surface. They are localized to the elbow, knee, and lower back
