Indicated for bipolar disorder, depression to augment antidepress (reduction for self harm)
Narrow therapeutic window so 3 monthly blood test.
Renally excreted so (not for ACEi, loop diuretic, NSAIDS)

Metallic taste in mouth, GI disturbance, fine tremor, polydip, polyuria, weight gain.

Long term - renal impairment, hypothyroid (irreversible).
