Moeller - Collaborative Value Creation Flashcards
Collaborative value creation (CVC)
Process through which customers perform roles to derive benefits by either jointly with the provider or independently leveraging their own and the providers resources.
Three spheres of value creation
1 - provider sphere = no interaction between customer and provider
2 - joint sphere = joint value creation through interaction between customer and provider
3 - customer sphere = interaction between customers without involvement of provider, independent value creation
Types of service offerings
1 - Configuration offerings = customer configurations own product/service by providing customization data
2 - Solution offering = customer explains problem and provides access to solution space
3 - Network offering = customer joins network and interacts with others by providing personal profile data
Five customer roles
- Bargain Hunting independent = wants to achieve economic benefit and contribute substantially without provider support
- Comprehensive help-seeker = wants to enhance collaboration ability by engaging with provider or other consulting sources
- Engaged problem solver = sees the provider as problem solver but willing to engage in collaboration
- Technology-savvy networker = interacts with other customers, no need to enhance abilities
- Self-reliant customizer = wants to collaborate to customize service for themselves
