- Animal collapses

- Fixed, fully dilated pupil

- Tongue hanging out
- Body hangs straight down there is no arching of the back or struggling;
- the legs may move
Signs of death from a free bullet
- Animal collapses immediately
- No rhythmic breathing

- Twitching and convulsions may start shortly afterwards
