What are free radicals?

A
  • forms when hydrogen or oxygen looses a electron. Atoms that have lost a free radical is said to be oxidized. Oxidized substances are reactive and damage cell membrane, DNA and other cell components. This creates inflammation and cellular damage, associated with heart disease and cancers.
