Module 3- vs 3-bets Flashcards
What’s the difference between a snap 3-bet and a tank 3-bet in terms of timing?
Snap is less than 3 seconds, tank is more than 10 seconds
What’s the difference between the ranges of snap-3-bet vs tank-3-bet?
It’s a probabilistic difference, but in general, snap-3-bet contains way more concentration of nutted hands (TT+, AK, etc) and less of the low-frequency 3-bet hands like Q4s.
What should I do BU vs BB vs snap-3-bet?
Fold almost everything, and continue (solver always 4-bet at that situation) with JJ+ (!!!) and AKo, sometimes AJs, always AQs.
What should I do BU vs SB snap 3-bet? How does it compare vs a snap 3-bet by BB?
BB’s snap 3-bet range is stronger, since sb already has some idea regarding his linear range, so BB’s snap 3-bet range is stronger.
So vs sb continue with 88+,ATs+,some suited broadway, KQo… (solver doesn’t have calling range and 4-bets its entire continuation range)
What adjustments should I make vs snap 3-bets by BU as CO?
Actually BU’s 3-bet range, while stronger than theory, is wider, so i defend not like a nit and not like theory but in between.
Fold threshold hands, cut down 4-bet frequencies etc
What adjustment did solver do vs tank-3-bet as any position vs any position? (Saulo showed as CO vs BU, BU vs SB, BU vs BB)?
Is it a max exploit or a soft exploit?
vs any position 3-bet-tank range, the solver 4-bet his entire RFI range(!).
The solver’s output is always max-exploit as it doesn’t account for future adjustments by players.
When do I want to make a soft exploit adjustment vs 3-bet-tank?
At what circumstances should I do it?
in small pools, vs people I play with a lot.
Adjust only the frequencies, eg hands that sometimes 4-bet and sometimes call, pure 4-bet those, and still fold hands that purely fold like Q4s.
