A

ex. using a styrofoam cup in certain cultures and reusing it, others might think that is not right

explain culture shock and re culture shock

A

Culture shock is being exposed to a new culture and being weirded out of struggling to understand because you’re so used to your own. then there is re entry shock that consists of returning back to your culture and realizing that its been changed since you’ve been there and it becomes way less familiar as you get exposed

explain Bourdieu’s Cultural capital ideas

A

Symbolic elements that you could acquire while being a part of a certain social class.
could give you a higher or lower status in the eyes of others.
ex. Steak and lobster is very different than Kraft dinner for supper. Posture or even mannerisms too.
