Use confidential health questionnaire and practice.
Looking for underling cause of problem, digging for more information, being investigative. Understand how to work with lots of different people that present differently.
Describe 5 key steps of the consultation process
Initial Interview with the client documenting our findings on the form - builds rapport and includes disclaimer to own their own health.
Evaluate the NAQ, using Symptom Burden Graph and Evaluate the Food Journal to gather dietary and symptom information and make recommendations for dietary changes.
Functional Evaluation - clinically gather information from the client. Tap into their own innate intelligence
The plan / nutritional recommendations and how we communicate to client. Clinical presentation form to develop overall big picture plan. Nutritional recommendation that turns into a one page protocol for the client - keep copy. Two way communication - consistent with their ability, desire and compliance.
Follow up sessions - monitor and track progress. Keeping them on the path toward greater health relies on follow up sessions.
Comment on evaluation of the NAQ as it relates to client concerns
Manually add up scores and determine priority
Comment on evaluation of the food journal and recommendations for beneficial dietary changes.
