How do you make a hypertext?
A
- Select the text or picture that you want to display as a hyperlink.
- On the Insert tab, click Hyperlink. You can also right-click the text or picture and click Hyperlink on the shortcut menu.
- In the Insert Hyperlink box, type or paste your link in the Address box. Hypertext is text which contains links to other texts. The term was coined by Ted Nelson around 1965 (see History ). Hypermedia is a term used for hypertext which is not constrained to be text: it can include graphics, video and sound, for example. … A list of terms used Hypertext refers to “links” on a computer screen that, when activated, will bring the reader immediately to a new site of text, audio, video, etc.
- A link may lead to only a brief sentence, to a paragraph, or to whole pages of new text. These new texts may themselves contain links to even more new pieces of information in hypertext literature.
