Models Flashcards
For the person and motivation part of the PEOP model, what is the difference between intrinsic and cognitive motivation?
Intrinsic involves no external reward, while cognitive involves setting goals for achievement
What are the seven major parts of the person environment and occupational performance model
The person and motivation The person and self efficacy The person and personality The person and values The person and meaning The environment Occupational performance
What is occupational performance?
The doing of occupations- involves a hierarchy of occupation including roles, occupations, tasks, actions, abilities (goes bottom up)
What is the person, environment, occupation model?
Looks at the person environment and occupation and how they affect occupational performance as an outcome
What is the occupational adaptation model?
A model that helps clients identify which occupations are important to focus on. Adaptation is a main focus and foundational skills aren’t as important
What are the three parts of the model of human occupation?
Volition, habituation, and performance
What is volition?
Personal causation, valued goals and interests
What is habituation?
Habits and roles and their meanings
What is the role of the environment in MOHO?
the environment helps to provide feedback that either supports or hinders participation
In MOHO what is occupational function?
The ability to choose, organize, and perform occupations
In MOHO what is occupational dysfunction?
Difficulty with choosing performing organizing occupations
What is the focus of the Ecology of Human Performance model?
How behavior is impacted by the interaction between the person and the environment
According to MOHO what is order?
Positive feedback with the environment and successful performance
According to MOHO what is disorder?
Decreased roles, responsibilities, and performance
What are the major focuses of the EHP model?
Restoring abilities in context
Changing the context altogether
Preventing contextual barriers
Natural contexts are not the same as synthetic ones
Contextual supports can help achieve independence
