Q

Prophase

A

The chromatin condensed into visible chromosomes, each consisting of two sister cromatids.

The nuclear membrane begins to break down

The centrioles move to opposite ends and form spindle fibres

A
  • spindle fibres attach to the chromosomes
  • spindle fibres align chromosomes along the middle

Q

Anaphase

A
  • Spindle fibres pull apart the chromosomes
  • pull the single stranded chromosomes to opposite ends

Q

Telophase

A

Chromosomes uncoil to form chromatin
- spindle fibres disappear
- nuclear membrane reforms
- cell pinches in the middle to seperate cytoplasm, forming cleavage
