Q

Why do cells do mitosis? (3 things)

A
  1. Growth: so an organism can increase in size.
  2. Repair: to replace or fix damaged body tissue.
  3. Development: so that the cells can differentiate and specialise to perform new functions.

Q

What is the phase called that cells chromosomes start to replicate themselves?

A

Q

What happens in metaphase?

A

Q

What happens in anaphase?

A

Chromosomes are pulled to opposite sides of the cell with the help of fibres called spindles.

Q

What happens in telophase?

A

Chromosomes are at complete opposite ends. Two new nuclei are forming around the chromosomes. The cell then
splits by cytokinesis.
