How often are all missing/runaway individual cases reviewed and by whom?
All missing/runaway cases will be reviewed and verified every 30 days by the OIC.
What must be done by the reporting officer prior to entering anyone into LEIN or NCIC as missing?
The officer must first get a signed missing person verification form from the complainant.
What must happened to the signed missing person verification form immediately after the report is written?
The original form must be forwarded to records immediately.
If a person is still considered missing after 30 days what must the officer in charge do?
The officer in charge must obtain their dental records and enter them into NCIC, unless the person is considered an adult voluntary missing.
When a missing person broadcast is being canceled what must the officer do?
Personally verify the missing person has returned, and write a supplemental report to the original.
