Flight Deck Secuirty
** CHECK**
Observe seats, oxyg masks, smoke goggles,seats, storage, air vents, spare bulb storage, ashtrays, open cover inspect interior. First officer compartment
Circuit Breakers
CHECK
Are in and or collared in compliance w/ dispatch requirements.
*Flight Deck Access Door
First Flight of Day
CHECK
FDAS Switch – NORM
Flight Deck Door – Open
FLT DK DOOR Switch – AUTO
Enter access code and press ENT key on keypad.
Listen for “double chime.”
Verify AUTO UNLK Light illuminates.
FLT DK DOOR Switch – DENY
Verify AUTO UNLK light extinguishes.
FLT DK DOOR Switch – UNLK
FDAS Switch – OFF
Verify LOCK FAIL light illuminates.
FDAS Switch – NORM
From the Flight Deck side of door:
Flight Deck Door – Close
Push door to ensure it is locked.
FDAS Switch – OFF
FDAS switch may remain NORM if the Flight Deck is attended
Data Loader Switch
NORM
Spare Radio Boom Mic
CHECK
Check spare boom mic is present
Crash Axe
STOWED
PBE
CHECK
Check the red tamper evident seals (on each side of the lid).
* If both seals are intact, or if only one seal is broken, the PBE is serviceable;
Maintenance will replace the broken seal
* If both seals are broken, then check the humidity indicator:
- if the spot is blue, the PBE is serviceable; Maintenance will replace both seals
- if the spot is pink, the PBE is unserviceable; Maintenance will replace the PBE prior
to takeoff
NOTE: If Tamper Evident Seals are not available, Maintenance Control will issue a
36-flight hour deferral for replacement of lock seals.
Manual Gear Extension Access Door
CLOSED
Halon Fire Extinguisher
CHECK
Check guage and verify safetied
Manuals/BCB/ EFB Equipment
CHECK
Aircraft manuals , efb charging kit & 2 mounts, battery containment bag
Life Vests
CHECK
Check for four life vests, two in each pouch behind pilots seats
Flashlight
(Max Only)
CHECK
Check flashlight is stowed in the bracket
