Unless needed (e.g., No Engine Bleed Takeoff or APU Continuous Ops), turn the APU
switch off. The one minute cooling period requirement is automatically provided by
the APU controller when the APU switch is turned off
START SWITCHES
ON
Position START switches to CONT.
PROBE HEAT SWITCHES
ON
All Probe Heat Lights – Extinguished
ANTI-ICE
AS REQUIRED
When icing conditions exist or anticipated:
ENG ANTI-ICE Switch(es) ………………………………………………………………….ON
(NG) L and R COWL VALVE OPEN Lights – Illuminate bright, then dim
(MAX) COWL VALVE Lights – Illuminate momentarily, then extinguish, indicting
valves are in commanded position
NOTE: (NG) If COWL VALVE OPEN lights remain illuminated bright:
(MAX) If COWL VALVE lights remain illuminated amber:
with engines at IDLE, position APU BLEED air switch to OFF and increase
thrust slightly (up to a maximum of 30% N1).
COWL ANTI-ICE Lights – Extinguished
PACKS, BLEEDS
PACKS AUTO
BLEEDS SET
APU BLEED Air Switch – ON or OFF
NOTE: APU BLEED switch configuration should be adjusted as required when
accomplishing No Engine Bleed Takeoff.
CAUTION! Do not move Engine No. 1 thrust lever above Idle until APU
BLEED air switch is off or engine BLEED switches are off for a No
Engine Bleed Takeoff.
Engine BLEED Air Switches – ON or OFF
NOTE: Bleed air switch configuration should be adjusted as required when
accomplishing a No Engine Bleed Takeoff.
Both PACK Switches – AUTO
ISOLATION VALVE Switch – AUTO or CLOSE
NOTE: ISOLATION VALVE switch configuration should be adjusted as required
when accomplishing No Engine Bleed Takeoff.
RECIRCULATION FAN Switch(es) – AUTO
