Exterior Lights
ON
NAVIGATION/POSITION, (night) LOGO, WING, and WHEEL WELL lights to ON.
NOTE: (700F) Do not turn on WING lights at night during MCD loading/unloading
operations
Exterior Inspection
ACCOMPLISH
NOTE: The upper wing and flight control surfaces may be inspected from the cabin
prior to conducting the exterior inspection.
Exterior Lights
ON/OFF
The NAVIGATION/POSITION and (night) LOGO lights should remain on. The WHEEL
WELL and WING lights may be turned off.
Hydraulics
ON & NORMAL
WARNING! If towbar is connected, it must be centered (aligned with aircraft
longitudinal axis) or disconnected prior to pressurizing hydraulic
System A, unless the nose wheel steering bypass pin is installed.
This is a Ground Crew function.
MFD SYS Switch – PUSH
Verify minimum 1675 lbs of fuel in each Main Tank.
HYD Pump Switches – ON
System A and B ENG HYD Pump Switches – ON
System B ELEC HYD Pump Switch – ON
System B ELEC HYD Pump Low Pressure Light – Extinguished
System A ELEC HYD Pump Switch – ON
NOTE: The System A hydraulic pump is turned on last to prevent hydraulic fluid
migration.
NOTE: If System A electric hydraulic pump is turned on before the System B
hydraulic LOW PRESSURE light is extinguished, the electric hydraulic
pump circuit breaker may trip.
System A ELEC HYD Pump Low Pressure Light – Extinguished
Brake Pressure – 2800 psi minimum
System A and B Pressure – 2800 psi minimum
Quantity Indicators – No RF indication displayed
If Flight Crews find the Flight Deck hydraulic fluid quantity indication above 100%
but the respective reservoir fluid quantity (mechanical) indicator in the main wheel
well was noted to be below the Full (F) line during the exterior inspection, the
reservoir is not considered over-serviced
