Sarah is preparing for an important exam. She knows that her friend Jake has the answers to the test because he accidentally received them from a teacher. Sarah is tempted to ask Jake for the answers, but she knows that cheating is wrong.
Stage 4; Conventional
Alex sees a classmate’s bike left unlocked outside the school. He knows that it doesn’t belong to him, but he thinks about taking it for a joyride, reasoning that no one will find out. However, he ultimately decides against it, believing that stealing is wrong and that the bike belongs to someone else
Stage 1; Pre-conventional
Lisa is part of a group protesting against a factory that pollutes the local river. She believes it is more important to protect the environment than to follow laws that allow the factor to operate. During one protest, she and her friends block the factory entrance, knowing they could be arrested

During recess, Mia witnesses a group of students bullying another student. She feels it is wrong and knows she should intervene because bullying is wrong, and it is against the school policy. However, she hesitates because she fears that if she stands up for the bullied student, she may be a target herself. Eventually, she decides to speak up and tell a teacher about bullying

Mark’s family is struggling financially, and his parents decide that they need to cut back on expenses. Mark suggests they stop donating to charity temporarily until they are more stable. His parents agree but later feel guilty about not helping those in need. Mark realizes that helping others is important regardless of their financial situation

Emily finds a wallet on the ground filled with cash. She considers keeping it but remembered her parents taught her than taking something that doesn’t belong to you is wrong. Instead, she takes it to the lost and found at school

During a group project; Tom notices that one of this teammates isn’t contributing but still wants credit for the work. Tom feels it’s unfair and discusses with his group how they should handle this situation. He believes everyone should contribute equally and suggests talking to the teacher if things doesn’t change

Jenna volunteers at a local shelter because her school requires community service hours for graduation. At first, she only does it to fulfill this requirement since it will benefit her

During a school fundraiser, Jamie learns that some students are planning to pocket the money they collected instead of donating it to charity. Jamie knows this is wrong and feels it is important to report them, even if it means losing friends

Alex discovers that his best friend has been spreading rumors about another student. He feels torn between loyalty to his friend and the need to stand up for what is right. After thinking it through, he decides to confront his friend about the rumors and encourage him to apologize since it will make him a good friend
