What is the year, season, date, day, month? Up to 5 points

Where are we? State, county, town, office? Up to 5 points

Question 2

What do you have the patient do for attention and calculations? And how many points is it worth?

Answer 2

Subtract 7s from 100 (stop after 5 answers) OR have the patient spell a word backward (5-6 letters). Give 1 point up to 5 points

What do you have the patient do for recall step? And how many points can it be worth?

Ask the patient to repeat the 3 objects given above from the registration. Give 1 point each up to 3 points

What do you have the patient do for the language step and how many points are they worth?

• Show the patient 2 common objects and have them identify them aloud. Give I point each. 2 points total
• Have them repeat “no ifs, ands, or buts” 1 point
• Have them follow a three stage command: “take this paper in your right hand, fold it in half, and place it on the floor” 3 points possibly
• read and obey the following: “ CLOSE YOUR EYES” give 1 point
• write a sentence give 1 point
• copy a design give 1 point
