A

trait- characteristic of the person, they are generally mindful in any situation
state- temporary, can be induced through meditative practice

what is the difference between mindlessness and mindfulness?

A

mindlessness - a state of mind where the mind is largely inactive eg. autopilot when driving
mindfulness- being present and actively aware of surroundings, thoughts, feelings, adaptable to change in the environment
