Q

What is a Centralized Promotion?

A

➢ Promotions through the ranks of E-7 through E-9
■ Centralized promotions are conducted Army-wide at Army Personnel Headquarters. The unit or battalion has little to do with the promotion process in these cases. The Army decides how many soldiers within each MOS it plans to promote to the ranks of E-7, E-8, and E-9
