Glaucoma, shock, coma, alcohol intoxication, overdose and depressed vital signs

Headache, Blurred vision, hypertension and respiratory depression/ arrest

Drug Interactions
Should not be used in patients who have taken CNS depressants

Dosage
Adult
1 – 2.5 mg slow IV over 2 – 3 minutes, with a maximum total dose of 0.1 mg/kg.

Special Considerations
Respiratory depression more common with midazolam than with other benzodiazepines.
