Micro Stakes Playbook: River Flashcards
1
Q
Stop & Go VALUE Bet
A
- a thin value bet, often middle/bottom pair
- cbet flop > check (deception) > cbet river (bluff deception)
- purpose: squeezing an extra 5/10bb from them, a 1/3 pot will often get a call from a worse pair; also an easy fold if they happen to reraise you
2
Q
Stop & Go BLUFF
A
- cbet flop > x turn > cbet bluff river
- there should always be several value hands that you would play in the exact same way, play them like you would if you had them
- balance bluff>value ratio to make you harder to read
- MAKE SURE that our opponent is capable of folding decent hands. VS. regs with high WTSD% (and most recs) river bets should be more for value
*Don’t let the fear of being called prevent you from making those value bluffs, sometimes players will call you, life still goes on. It will create an image as you being loose and unpredictable
