- lymphocytosis, neutropenia/thrombocytoepnia, hepatosplenomegaly
- Bolateral cervical LN, mainly posterior, red edematous pharynx, fever, MP rash
- EBV
- oro oral/sexual
- Monospot test, EBV serology: anti VCA IgM, PCR x EBV DNA
- Haemolytic anemia, hepatitis, myocarditis, mesenteric adenitis, post infectious neurological syndrome (GBS, CN palsies, meningoencephalitis), HLH in children, splenic rupture if massive
- Supportive, antipyretics, avoid excecise esp in children

- TOCC, date/duration of travel, accomodation, activities, insect bite, sexual hx, soil/ water contact, needle exposure
- malaria, dengue, typhoid, ricketssia, leptospirosis
- Thick/thin smear
- Artesunate + doxycycline (chloroquine/primaquine for non falciparum)
- Malarone, doxycycline

- insect bite, soil/water contact, accomodation, sexual history
- dengue, typhoid, paratyphoid, leptospirosis, malaria
- enteric fever: relative bradycardia, rose spots
- Blood and stool culture
- Ceftriiaxone, fluoroquinolone
If amoebic infection: tissue agent and luminal gent
Tissue agent (metronidazole) to treat tissue trophozoites, luminal agent (paramomycin) to remove intestinal cysts
