Q

What are the basics of MFR?

A
  • Identify TART findings consistent with somatic dysfunction
  • Evaluate the region in at least 3 dimensions and note findings
  • Decide if the technique will be direct or indirect
  • Stack the affected tissues in either direct or indirect fashion
  • Hold/follow the tissues until tissue creep has occurred
  • Recheck and repeat as necessary

Q

What are the basics of MFR with INR?

A
  • Identify TART findings consistent with somatic dysfunction
  • Evaluate the region in at least 3 dimensions and note findings
  • Decide if the technique will be direct or indirect
  • Stack the affected tissues in either direct or indirect fashion
  • Use Release Enhancing Maneuver (REM); have the patient move a body region that will affect the musculature under the somatic dysfunction
  • Hold/follow the tissues until tissue creep has occurred
  • Recheck and repeat as necessary
