stationary front

A

sometimes 2 air masses meet and neither is displaced, instead the 2 push together in a stalemate. stationary fronts can often cause cloudy, wet weather that can last a week or more

stratus clouds

A

low hanging, broad, flat clouds that blanket the sky. when they occur on the ground its called fog.

clouds that are puffy, like popcorn, with mostly flat bottoms and rounded tops. heavy rain happens when they darken
