in small quantities is needed for a balanced diet. some needed ones are iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium, and sodium chloride (salt)
calcium
important for building strong teeth and bones
iron
needed for red blood cell development
vitamins
C & D are needed for a bunch of physiological processes from bone hardness to healthy gums.
deficiency disease
can be caused by a lack of proper nutrients
anemia
may cause weakness, dizziness, and headaches. Especially common in children, young adults, and pregnant women who don’t get enough iron.
scurvy
caused by a lack of vitamin C
