Meoisis One Vs Two Flashcards
Comparison between prophase 1 and 2
Prophase 1- centrioles move to opposite sides of the pole, chromosomes come together in homologous pairs and form a synapsis. Spindle fibres form
Prophase 2- nuclear membrane disappears, spindle fibres begin to form
Metaphase 1 and 2
1: Homologous chromosomes line up along equatorial plate
2: sister chromatids line up at equatorial plate
Anaphase 1 and 2
1: homologous chromosomes move to opposite poles ( segregation), diploid parent cell becomes haploid daughter cell
2: chromatids seperate at the centromere and move to opposite poles of the cell
Telophase 1 and 2
1: two nuclei form, non identical chromosomes in nuclei, cyptoplasm divides
2: 4 non identical nuclei form. Cyptoplasm divides
