Q

Explain the difference between novice and expert clinician reflection and thinking.

A

Both the novice and expert clinicians used reflection to understand their thoughts and actions, and this helps them with clinical decision making. The expert clinicians also pull from their prior experiences when making clinical decisions, analyze the effectiveness of the treatment, and make adjustments right away. Whereas the novice are just beginning to build their experience and cannot always analyze and adjust in the moment, often needing to reflect after treatment is over.
